First of all, I went to the gym. That was an accomplishment all by itself.
While I was packing my gym bag, I put my bathing suit in there, just in case I actually got up the guts to go into the pool.
And I did.
It was awesome.
I got over my fear, of getting in a bathing suit in public. I stopped worrying about what everyone would think of me, and I just did it. I did it for ME.
My joints feel so good in the water!
Not perfect...I can still feel them grinding and such, but being in the water puts me in a lot less pain then when I'm on the treadmill, or elliptical.
I discovered something, while I was in the water:
I ROCK!And I can do anything I set my heart to.

Great! I love swimming. I'm like you though. I hate putting on bathing suits in public.
That is just awesome! Great job on getting your workout in and in being confident enough to go swimming. What a great way to workout!
I would love to use swimming as a form of exercise! It's great for your joints and still gets in an awesome workout!! Way to go! :-)
You DO rock! That sounds like a fun way to exercise.
We have an indoor swimming pool in our clubhouse and we never use it. It would be so fun to get in there and do some exercise...maybe you've inspired me to actually do it!
I love being in the water! I wish my gym had a pool!
That's great! Swimming is good for you no matter what your age. I love to use the swim noodles in my pool for exercising.

Good for you!!

This is a huge milestone! In fact, wearing bathers is one of my goals I REALLY wanot to achieve. I don't want to be one of these mothers who can't get into the pool with her young children, so I force myself to do it but I cover up crazy in tees and long swim trunks... It would be so much easier to just wear a bathing suit and get on with business. GO YOU
By the way, I'd like to follow your blog but for the life of me can't find a 'follow' link. Where am I not looking?
AWESOME! You do ROCK! :)
I'm glad you were able to overcome the bathing suit in public thing and get in the pool. Especially if you feel that good in it!
