Want to know a key to my success?
Baby steps.
I have baby stepped my way through this entire weight loss journey.
Here, Dr. Marvin, from What About Bob, explains it better then I: "It means setting small, reasonable goals for yourself, one day at a time. One tiny step at a time."

I baby step my way from minute to minute. From meal to meal. I baby step my way to the gym, each and every time I go. I probably wouldn't make it there, if I didn't. When I'm at home, I don't think about everything I need to do to get in the pool, at the gym. I simply think about what I need to do to pack my bag. Then I think about what I need to do to get in the car, and drive. When I get to the gym, I simply focus on getting to the locker room. And then finally, I take baby steps to getting in the pool. Baby steps.
"All I have to do, is take one little baby step at a time, and I can do anything."
Thank you Dr. Marvin.
Dr. Leo Marvin.

Best of luck in meeting your goals! I have a hard time with baby steps... I want things to happen RIGHT THIS INSTANT! I am learning that it is not realistic, so I too have to learn the significant and permanence of the baby steps.
Good luck, lady!
I'm a baby stepper too! Baby Steps all the way! Even tho I have been walking daily for the last 3 months, every day I walk out the door feels like the first time and I don't take anything for granted!
Hi Brittany, I'm Sharon and I got to your blog from Dawne's. I'm so glad I found it. Although I am much older than you (55), we share something very important in common. That is RA. I was diagnosed when I was 28 and although I haven't yet written about it in my blog, I'm getting ready to. I've read many of your back posts and can't wait to get better acquainted with you on a daily basis.
sounds good
Baby step are good!
Hey...I like this idea. I know that we've all heard this before, but very few of us are patient enough for gradual steps towards our goal. Huh...I needed this today. Today, it's baby steps through the day and my life! No more planning far, far, in advance. For me, it causes anxiety. Christ tell's us to be anxious for nothing!
Brittany....you are so great!! I LOVE that movie and I love the message behind that part of it. Everything really does start with a baby step. Thanks for all you do!!
Great attitude, Brittany! You'll be at goal soon and I bet working on another project or goal! Are you still cooking new dishes?
I definitely baby step into everything. You have suck a fabulous attitude you are sure to succeed in everything you do.
xo
You got it, baby! ;)
LOVE that movie!
Awesome blog (and post). Just found your blog and am checking it out now. Baby steps is key... thanks for the reminder.
You go girl.
Hey Brittany, I just fond your blog a few days ago and am already so inspired. I just started a blog of my own to document my weight loss journey and will certainly be following you as you continue yours. Best of luck and congratulations on one year!
