About Moi
My Name is Brittany, and I'm 23yrs old. I was diagnosed with Lupus when I was 15, and then diagnosed with RA, when I was 18. I also got married when I was 18, and I'm enjoying my happily ever after with my hubby! When I got married, I was slim and trim...But not for long. After getting married, I started to gain a LOT of weight! In 1yr, I gained 50lbs! Finally, I went to the Doctor, where I discovered I have low thyroid. After being put on medicine, my weight gain slowed down, although over the next 3yrs, I gained an additional 26lbs. When I was 20yrs old, I got yet another diagnoses of Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. That's 4 diagnoses in a 5yr period, if you lost count. They all effect my weight, in one way or another. Add on top of that, my love affair with food, and every 1 of those 76lbs gained was accounted for. Being 76lbs over weight is unhealthy for anyone, but it was especially unhealthy for me, and my health issues. Since starting this blog, in Jan-2010, I have lost 40lbs! I'm a new, slimmer, and healthier me! Before losing weight, I was told I needed knee replacements. Losing weight was the ONLY tool I had to help me hold off on that life changing surgery. Since losing 40lbs, my knees have never felt better! My husband and I are also trying to start a family, but my PCOS was not going to make it as easy as 1,2,3, as I didn't have periods on my own. My doctor had told me if I wanted a baby, I HAD to lose weight. Since losing 40lbs, I've had regular cycles for the first time in my life! Which is very important when trying to have a baby ;) This journey of mine is more than me simply wanting to wear skinny jeans. It has been a quest to becoming :Deliciously Healthy, so ALL of my dreams can come true! I'm almost half way there! With each new day, I get closer and closer to my goal of 120lbs, and becoming :Deliciously Healthy!

What's inside my Easter basket?

Instead of eating a basket full of Peep's, Cadbury eggs, chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and egg shaped Reese's and snickers bars this Easter, I thought I'd pick just one Easter sweet to enjoy.

I thought about it for a few days. I wanted to be sure I picked the right one. The one that would hit that Easter sweet tooth just right.

In the end, it was the chocolate Easter bunny that stole my heart. I just couldn't resist it's candy eyes, and those hollow milk chocolate bunny ears.I shared it with my hubby. I love him that much ;)
If you had to choose just one Easter treat, which would you choose?

Happy Easter!

I Know that my Redeemer lives.

We celebrated spring in March, and I was able to convince the BF - instead of going to the discount store and buying several pounds of cheap, bas-tasting chocolate - to go to our local chocolate store and choose a few special treats. It was definitely the most expensive pound of chocolate I ever bought, but it was so worth it! And don't worry, I didn't eat half a pound of chocolate goodies... we stashed some away for last weekend, when my younger sister's family visited.

If I had to settle for just one item, it would be either something with marchpane or that wonderful pistachio nougat egg they had at the store (which was orgasmic, I swear)...

Something dark chocolate :). I'm not a huge Easter candy girl so I haven't felt tempted by the spread (yet).
Have a great Easter Sunday!!

Happy Easter! I'd choose a Snickers egg- in fact, I might just buy one tomorrow %50 off. I sent my daughter a box of goodies and didn't eat anything ahead of time YAY. We're headed to a barbeque after church- fish, chicken, pasta/tossed salad and a homemade cherry pie my married DD requested; she and grandson gave up sugar for Lent. Oh my sister made a burnt sugar cake- I might have to taste a sliver. It was a specialty of my granny.

I have a thing for choc covered marshmallow eggs. The kind where the chocolate is thick and the marsh melts in your mouth. Although, I wouldn't pass up some good chocolate bunny ears either! lol Happy Easter Brittany!

Oh, I forgot about the chocolate covered marshmallows! Those are good :D

I would probably be torn between the bunny and the Reese's eggs, myself! Honestly though, the hollow bunny ears are The Best. I refuse to accept non-hollow chocolate bunnies for that reason.

Unfortunately I ate Reece's eggs! Glad you were able to hold in the monster!

At first glance I thought the bunny was sticking that carrot up his nose.... LOL!

I would have to choose a Reese's Peanut butter egg. Hands down, my all time favorite.
